With 4 years of experience in the construction industry, Colby Estes strives to be a strong leader in managing field operations, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining safety compliance on complex projects in his role as Superintendent. During his time studying at the University of Florida, Colby gained an interest in sustainable energy and facilities which sparked his desire to manage the installation of residential and commercial sized solar PV systems post graduation. Through this role as Project Manager, Colby built upon his foundation of skills including cost management, conflict resolution, and CPM scheduling which aided him in the transition to managing projects in the commercial construction industry. In a hybrid role at Blackwater, he is able to oversee daily site activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget all the while using an APM skillset to manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders. Colby takes pride in delivering high-quality projects that exceed client expectations while fostering a safe and productive work environment
